Food

Spanish food is incredibly varied. The wide range of ingredients combined with the geographic differences across the regions create a diverse and vibrant cuisine. Olive oil is an essential ingredient in all recipes (Spaniards barely use butter), and the most characteristic cuisine is the country in the Mediterranean diet, which is considered one of the healthiest diets in the world due to the balance between fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables, with beans, grains, fish, seafood and meat. There is much more than paella, tapas and jamón!
