The architecture of Mexico is rich in history because in the territory the buildings are a representation of each phase: prehispanic, Spanish colonisation and modern architecture. Nowadays, the style of Mexican Architecture is a mix of these periods. After 1920 it started to develop its own identity because before that it was highly influenced by the European civilisation.

Nature

Mexico has a diversity of environments. There are deserts in the north, fertile valleys and high mountains in the centre, and tropical forests in the south and east. There are weather variations, in some regions, there are the four seasons but in the Riviera Maya region, there are only two seasons: rainy season and dry season.
