Design Do’s & Don’ts
Do’s
Imagery showing
diversity and multiculture.
Use batik as supporting graphics where appropriate.
Indonesian loves jokes/humor, just please make sure they're still appropriate.
Be careful when using specific religious/Islamic symbols.
Indonesia is beyond Bali.
Appropriate modest clothing and pose for women wearing hijab.
Don’ts
Association with LGBTQ+.
Unfortunately the culture is still not progressive enough.
Stereotype that all Indonesian still live in primitive islands.
Revealing clothes/fashion.
PDA/Excessive physical contact between the opposite sexes.
Use of harsh words.
Use only images of women wearing hijab. Not all Indonesian women wear this.
