Yellow
Sanctity, Joy and celebration.
Sweet shops use this colour a lot.
Red
Sensuality, purity, dynamism and fertility but also anger. Associations with goddess Durga, good for festive templates
Black
Associated with anger, desirability, evil, negativity, and inertia

Although they are India's flags colours but they are stereotyped to certain religions, avoid using too much green in Hindu festivals and avoid using orange in Islamic festivals they carry a lot of weight because of our political climate.
