Diversity
Brazil has a very diverse population of approx. 212 million people. Make sure to be inclusive when representing social and ethnic backgrounds, gender and sexual orientation.
Humour
Brazilians have a great sense of humour, love jokes and a good meme.
Be specific
Brazil has a rich culture, unique traditions and a particular language. Try to explore these characteristics and avoid being generic.
Don’ts
Clichés
Brazil has a lot more to show than Carnival and soccer, and not all Brazilians like those.
Poverty
Unless you are creating a very specific campaign about the theme, avoid using images of extreme poverty.
Show winter climate
The temperature in Brazil rarely dips below 20°C. Avoid showing pictures of people in winter clothes, and/or in cold places.
