General pointers to keep in mind

Be kind and courteous

Creating a safe and  welcoming environment is of utmost importance.

We strive to keep our community a positive space that can be enjoyed by all - healthy debates are natural, but kindness is always required.

Be thoughtful when sharing

We’re all here because we care about building with Canva; let’s keep the conversation relevant to what brought us together. Spam and irrelevant content are not allowed in this community.

Be conscious of your language

Do not post any sexist, racial, or similarly inappropriate jokes or comments.

If you feel that there is inappropriate activity happening on Slack, please flag it or let us know as soon as possible.

Try to use the appropriate channels

  1. #beta - Although we have a dedicated Jira Service Desk for you to raise tickets, you can post in this channel any questions you might have regarding the Canva API! Our Canva Support team will jump in to help you as quick as possible.
  2. #announcements - posting in this channel is reserved solely for the Canva team, but feel free to respond to the posts by replying via the threads. Any changes to the platform, documentation, or legacy APIs will also be posted here.
  3. When replying to posts, use threads so conversations don’t get confusing. They help keep the discussion more organised, and gives others the opportunity to easily chime in!
  4. If you have a bug report or feedback for Canva, please try to raise this via Jira Service Desk, but feel free to reach out via slack.

Never use the tags @here, @channel, and @everyone

as these can be disruptive to other members of the community

Respect everyone's privacy. Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but should also be sensitive and private.
